October was a pretty good month for GQ. Here are my thoughts:

Leonardo DiCaprio is aging well and doing quite well at selecting his roles. His upcoming collaboration with Eastwood on J. Edgar should be execellent. I’m also a fan of the stylist on this spread…well-chosen items. However, is it just me or…does he have his shoes on the wrong feet in the last photo?

I’ve been a fan of Justin Theroux for a while, from back in his American Psycho and Mulholland Drive days. It appears that he’s grown out of his punk rock, black-only wardrobe. That’s good. Especially if his real life choices have any of the coolness that this Serpico spread conveys. Maybe Jen has finally found a keeper.

GQ took a slightly tacky slant at the subject of upgraded bedding here, but there are some good points made. It’s a good opportunity to mention my previous post on high quality bedding. Give it a read if you haven’t already.

This Diplo shoot is a perfect example of why you should not follow fashion mags with a blind eye. These clothes don’t fit…they’re too small. If you aren’t comfortable in your clothes, it doesn’t matter how cool you think they look. You won’t pull it off.

Neiman Marcus is showcasing some very good looks and brands…Brunello Cucinelli, Moncler, Sorel, Persol etc.

I found this Amazing Grays shirt spread interesting. All of the labels appear to have been removed from the shirts. Not sure if I’ve ever seen that done before. Regardless, you could benefit from adding some gray into your rotation. I recently picked up a gray wool tie from J. Crew and have been enjoying finding opportunities to wear it.
